Chilton County law enforcement is on the search for missing 16-year-old Jeffrey Buchanan Jr., who was last seen leaving his home in Clanton on July 7 at approximately 9 a.m.

“The family seems to think he may be suicidal and [is] worried about him,” Sheriff John Shearon of the Chilton County Sheriff’s Office said.

Buchanan is described as a white male with brown hair and hazel eyes, standing at 5 feet, 6 inches tall and weighing about 135 pounds, according to the Center for Search and Investigations.

He drives a silver 2008 Jeep Wrangler with a hard top, tag 9209AY7.

“If you know where Jeffrey may be or have any information leading to his whereabouts, please contact us through one of our many resources,” a CCSO Facebook post reads.
