The season of giving is getting an early start at Isabella High School as students prepare for the annual talent show to raise funds for the Senior Beta Club service project.

Club Sponsor Pam Jackson said this year the club will be using funds raised to purchase items foster children have put on wish lists for the Department of Human Resources.

This year’s event will be on Nov. 15. Jackson said two duplicate shows will be offered. One will be at 10 a.m. The other will be at 12:30 p.m.

The talent shows are open to the public. Tickets are $2 at the door.

“I love watching the kids get on stage and showcase their talents,” Jackson said.

Talent show acts will include student singers, musicians, dancers and comedians. Jackson said 25 students will be participating this year.

“We wanted to show the talent of some of our students here at the school, and raise money for our service projects,” Jackson said.

The club usually plans two service projects a year.

Interested students from first to 12th grade were given the opportunity to sign up.

After the funds are collected from the talent show, Beta Club students will go shopping for items on the wish lists. The items will be taken to DHR to be delivered.
