Thorsby Fire to receive credit for air packs

The Thorsby Fire Department will surplus its old air packs and receive store credit, which it will use purchase hoses and other needed items.

Three fire hydrants were also reported by the fire department as being hidden by shrubs.

The Council approved the sending of letters to those who own the property that the hydrant is on to prune back the shrubs.

Terry Jackson informed the Council that the Ph-Chlorine meter is almost up and running.

A zero-turn mower and a five-foot trimming mower in the public works department, were approved to be placed as surplus by the Council.

In other news from the meeting, the Council:

  • Approved the minutes from the previous meeting on April 3.
  • Approved the bills and transferred the funds.
