The Chilton County Humane Society will have a yard sale Saturday, Aug. 6 from 8 a.m.-2 p.m. at 2412 Seventh St. N. (across from the old Stokes building). The proceeds will benefit the Chilton County Humane Society.

On any given Saturday, dozens of yard sales spring up across Chilton County. Young and old go out in search of unbeatable bargains and many have made a routine of going every week. The Chilton County Humane Society would like to be part of this tradition and raise some funds to help provide shelter services to animals in Chilton County.

“We have already accepted many donations for the sale,” said employee Kat Reece. When asked if people could still contribute their un-needed items to the sale, she said “more donations are definitely welcome.”

Those who want to donate are encouraged to drop off their items at the Humane Society, where the shelter will handle the pricing and organization. Employees of the Humane Society and volunteers will wake up early Saturday morning and be ready to greet pickers and combers who want to make a difference with their bargain hunting.
