The Chilton County Humane Society will have a back-to-school celebration in the city park at noon on Aug. 13. There will be a water balloon fight with 13,000 water balloons and a variety of refreshments will be available for purchase. Admission is $5.

The back-to-school celebration will be a fun way to spend a hot August afternoon. Children will be able to pelt each other with 13,000 water balloons and stay cool with snow cones and drinks. There will also be hot dogs and popcorn available for hungry attendees to enjoy.

There will be two separate water balloon fights. Children will be placed in one game or the other based on their age so that everyone can enjoy a fair fight. There will be plenty of room for the children to run around and play.

The two games will be held in the field between the park and the Fred’s parking lot as well as the field by the pavilion. Parents can enjoy refreshments in the shade while their children play.

All proceeds will benefit the Chilton County Humane Society.
