The 2016 Relay For Life Queens had the honor and privilege of participating in the Random Acts of Classroom Kindness program at Clanton Elementary School.
Second grade teacher Renee Martin has spearheaded the RACKS program this year, where students were asked to donate different items each month to help others.
During the month of April, students were asked to donate travel size toiletry items that would be given to the residents of Hope Lodge in Birmingham.
On May 9, the Relay Queens assisted Martin and Jessica Causey, a cancer survivor, in separating and boxing up the items donated.
The Relay Queens, Martin and Causey will deliver these items to Hope Lodge on May 19 as well attend Hope Lodge’s Relay For Life event.
