Andy and Terri Williams of Clanton and Bill and Gail Dixon of Lawrenceburg, Tenn. are pleased to announce the engagement and forthcoming marriage of their children, Melissa Williams and Matt Dixon.

Melissa is the granddaughter of Douglas and Betty Williams of Clanton and Gordon and Mollie Smelley of Clanton.

Melissa is a graduate of Auburn University with a bachelor’s degree in biomedical sciences, and is currently pursuing her doctor of pharmacy degree at the Harrison School of Pharmacy at Auburn University.

Matt is the grandson of Sue Lanning and the late Thomas Lanning and the late Thomas and Elaine Dixon, all of Lawrenceburg, Tenn.

Matt is a graduate of Samford University with a bachelor’s degree in finance and economics.

Matt is currently employed by Management Solutions in Birmingham.

The wedding is planned for May 21 at West End Baptist Church.
