Dear editor,

I would like to know why the position of assistant superintendent is necessary or cost effective. Pam Price requested an update on the status of Walter Fenn, who is not working, at a Board of Education meeting.

Tommy Glasscock earns a large salary and has the assistance of the Board and other staff working at the Board.

Chilton County Board of Education has operated just fine for years without this extra position. People are tired of the networking of “friends” and “family” within the system.
