Jacky Nelson, 52, of Clanton, died on April 3 at Shelby Baptist Medical Center in Alabaster.

He was born on Nov. 1, 1963, in Chilton County, the son of the late Billy Joe Nelson and Peggy Nelson.

He was a cemetery specialist.

Surviving are his wife, Jackie Nelson of Clanton; son, Ashton Nelson of Clanton; daughters, Angel Adams (Michael) of Prattville, Kelley Powell (Phillip) of Clanton, Patty Cox (Trent) of Clanton; mother, Peggy Nelson of Clanton; granddaughters, Keely Powell, Chelsea Cox, Taylor Adams, Trinity Cox, Kassidy Powell; grandsons, Tyler Powell, Jackson Adams, Kolton Powell; brother, Franky Nelson and sister, Patricia Latham.

He was preceded in death by his father, Billy Joe Nelson and brother, Rubin Nelson.

Friends will be received from 1-2 p.m. April 6 at Martin Funeral Home.

Services will be held April 6 at 2 p.m. at Martin Chapel with the Rev. Wendell Kelley officiating.

Interment will follow in Martin Memorial Cemetery in Clanton.
