The following is an activity report of the Maplesville Police Department from February:

Feb. 2

•An arrest was made for distribution of a controlled substance and possession of marijuana. After an officer attempted to stop a vehicle for a traffic violation, a pursuit ensued and the chase ended in Bibb County with an arrest.

Feb. 3

•A report for a vehicle fire: County Road 16.

•A report was made for identity theft: Reed Street.

Feb. 5

•A report was made for damaged property of a Chilton County Sheriff Department vehicle, after backing into another vehicle trying to avoid a collision with an 18-wheeler.

Feb. 7

•A report was made for domestic violence after an argument over a cell phone: County Road 802.

Feb. 9

•A report was made for damaged property after a vehicle struck an object in the road damaging the front bumper: Highway 82.

Feb. 10

•An arrest was made for harassing communications; failure to appear in court.

Feb. 11

•A report was made for damaged property after a tanker truck pulled out and struck another tractor trailer: Chevron on Highway 82.

Feb. 13

•An arrest was made for public intoxication after the offender was walking in the middle of the road under the influence: Highway 22.

Feb. 19

•A report and warrant was issued for theft by deception after a Harley Davidson motorcycle was taken from an address: Highway 139.

Feb. 22

•A report was made for a dog bite after a child was bit (the dog was put down by its owner): Magnolia Avenue.

Feb. 25

•An arrest was made for possession of marijuana after a traffic stop: Chevron on Highway 82.

•A report was made for a traffic accident (no injuries). The vehicle at fault left the scene before officers arrived: Highway 22 and County Road 310.
