The CCHS Gridiron Club is looking to upgrade the appearance of Tiger Stadium and is seeking help from local students.

The club is hosting a contest for a design and slogan that will eventually be painted on the back of the visitor concession stand and press box at Tiger Stadium.

The design and slogan can be incorporated together, but artists should remember that the buildings are separate, according to a flyer promoting the contest.

The design should be football specific and target core values that all students and athletes can relate to.

The competition is open to all Chilton County High School and Clanton Middle School students with the exception of current football players.

Designs should be turned in to CCHS Principal Cynthia Stewart or CMS Principal Kelvin Boulware.

Designs can be emailed or delivered on paper/canvas. Entries should come with a cover letter that provides the artist’s name. Applicants should not put their name on the design.

Those choosing to work as a group should know that the prize will be limited to no more than three individuals.

The football team will select the winning design during spring training exercises.

The winner(s) will receive two Tiger Pride seats to all home games for the 2016 season, as well as free parking for all home games; this includes game admission.

“The design is scheduled to be painted before the start of the 2016-2017 school year,” Gridiron Club president Chris Smith said.

Entries are due no later than 3 p.m. March 28.
