Friendship Baptist Church

“Unclouded Day” was Sunday’s choir special. Bro. Ken’s sermon from Mark 10:35-45 was titled “An Unexpected Request.”

The sermon was about the request of James and John. The magistrates of this time ruled over their subjects, but serving according to the example of Jesus is the will of the Father.

In the evening service, Bro. Ken took his message “Under God’s Direction” from Genesis 1:1. The message of the sermon is that we must follow God’s direction, not our own. God is always on our side. There will be challenges, but God is by our side.

The Church of God’s Word

God said his people would not beg for food. We were adopted through the blood of Jesus Christ. “You have not because you ask not.”

Regardless of the lives they live, you know what will happen to your sons or daughters. He will bring your offspring to him.

Scripture says that you will not die, but live forever. The only thing that will perish is the body that was made from the earth.

Jesus paid for you on the cross. The only thing God took pride in was us. He created us with his own hands. Mankind was created form dirt; woman was created from the man’s rib.

Homecoming will be held on Sept. 27.
