Joseph Byron Adams, 51, of Clanton, died Jan. 1, 2016, at Shelby Baptist Medical Center.

He was born on Aug. 31, 1964, in Chilton County, the son of the late Bobby Joe Adams Sr. and Judy Maddox Adams.

He was a carpenter.

Surviving are her daughters, Leanna Adams, Gracie Adams, Josie Adams; grandson, Clayton Ellison; mother, Judy Adams; grandmother, Sadie Maddox; brother, Bobbie Joe Adams Jr.; sisters, Denise Wright (Joe), Tammy Kelly (Anthony), Cindy Boswell (Terry), Roxanne Barksdale (Keith) and numerous nieces and nephews, all of Clanton.

He was preceded in death by his father, Bobby Joe Adams Sr. and brother, John Adams.

Friends were received from 6-8 p.m. Jan. 2 at Martin Funeral Home.

Services will be held Jan. 3, 2016, at 2 p.m. at Refuge Baptist Church with the Rev. Barney Mims and the Rev. David Reed officiating.

Interment followed in Refuge Baptist Cemetery in Clanton.
