Government offices will close this week for the Thanksgiving holiday, and trash pick-up in some municipalities will be affected.

The Chilton County Courthouse, Clanton City Hall, Jemison Municipal Complex, Maplesville Town Hall and Thorsby Town Hall will all be closed Thursday and Friday.

Maplesville and Thorsby town halls will also close at noon on Wednesday.

Clanton garbage collecting customers are asked to put out their cans a day earlier than their usual collection day, and to leave out the cans until the trash has been picked up.

Trash pick-up will operate on a normal schedule Wednesday in Jemison, but customers on the Thursday route will have their garbage collected on Friday.

Thursday route trash will be collected on Friday in Maplesville also.

Thorsby trash pick-up will not be affected by the holiday.
