Did the rainy weather wash out your Halloween plans? If so, the Clanton Elementary Fall Festival will offer another chance to have family fun and eat plenty of candy in the process. The event will be held Tuesday from 4 p.m. to 7 p.m. at the Clanton City Park.

The festival was originally scheduled for Oct. 27 but was postponed a week due to the wet conditions, which continued over the weekend.

“I know it was such bad weather,” event coordinator and Clanton Elementary teacher Shannon Ricks said. “We just want to give people a chance to have fun.”

The event will have an array of entertainment options such as inflatables, a boutique, an obstacle course, and multiple opportunities to win prizes. Kettle corn and other concession stand favorites will be available as well.

A festive atmosphere is sure to be present, as each grade level takes its turn at center stage to sing songs for those in attendance.

The festival had been an annual event until last year. According to Ricks, it was pushed back because of its conflicting date with the Chilton County Fair.

The long awaited return has finally arrived, and though Halloween has passed, the essence of fall is still upon us.

Armbands will be sold at the event for $10 and will include entry into several of the festivities. Children ages 3 and younger will be admitted to the event for free.
