Editor’s note: Below is a compilation of the statistics and achievements for graduates of Chilton County area schools who now compete at the college level.

Women’s cross country

Sarah Graham (Isabella 2015) captured the No. 6 performance for the University of West Alabama at the Watson Ford Invitational by placing 40th on the 6,000-meter course with a time of 25 minutes, 37.98 seconds on Oct. 9 in Clinton, Miss..

Among the field of 20 teams, the Tigers ended runner-up.

Football

Keandre Binion (Chilton County 2015) returned two kickoffs for 46 yards and added an eight-yard reception as a running back for Culver-Stockton College (0-7) in a 59-6 loss at NAIA No. 23 Benedictine College (5-2) on Oct. 10 in Atchison, Kansas.

For the season, the freshman’s compiled 46 yards from two kick returns, nine yards from two catches and eight yards from one carry.

Delondre DeJarnett (Chilton County 2014) is a 6-foot-2, 290-pound defensive lineman for the University of West Alabama.

Anthony Johnson (Maplesville 2013) has tallied 16 yards from two receptions for the season as a wide receiver for Jacksonville State University, which remains 4-1 overall after completing a bye week.

On Oct. 17, JSU will resume competition at Tennessee Technological University (2-4) in Cookeville, Tenn.

Damian Mitchell (Maplesville 2014) delivered an 11-yard kick return and added an eight-yard reception as a wide receiver for Birmingham-Southern College (3-3) in a 21-16 loss at Hendrix College (4-1) on Oct. 10 in Conway, Ark.

For the season, the sophomore’s compiled 169 yards from eight kick returns and 109 yards from 10 receptions.

David Neece (Chilton County 2013) is a 6-foot-3, 300-pound offensive lineman for Jacksonville State University.

Mitchell Parker (Chilton County 2014) is a redshirt freshman wide receiver for Miles College, which improved to 2-4 overall after capturing a 39-14 victory at Central State University (2-4) on Oct. 10 in Wilberforce, Ohio.

Randy Satterfield (Jemison 2014) contributed 28 yards from two receptions as a starting wide receiver for the University of West Alabama (4-2) in a 24-13 loss at Florida Institute of Technology (3-3) on Oct. 10 in Melbourne, Fla.

For the season, the sophomore’s compiled 188 yards and four touchdowns from 12 catches.

Jaytarius Steele (Billingsley 2015) hauled in a 30-yard reception as a wide receiver for Huntingdon College (4-1) in a 56-21 triumph at Ferrum College (1-4) on Oct. 10 in Bassett, Va.

For the year, the freshman’s compiled 259 yards and two touchdowns from 16 catches.

Javae Swindle (Jemison 2012) surpassed 1,900 rushing yards for his career after delivering a season-high 35 yards from 11 rushing attempts as a starting running back for the University of West Alabama football program (4-2) in a 24-13 loss at Florida Institute of Technology (3-3) on Oct. 10 in Melbourne, Fla.

In the competition, the senior added 18 yards from two receptions.

For the year, he’s totaled 84 yards from 25 rushing attempts en route compiling 1,901 rushing yards and 14 touchdowns for his career.

As a sophomore, he was selected to the NCAA Division II All-American second team by Beyond Sports Network after delivering 1,296 yards and 12 TDs from 145 carries.

As a junior, he followed by providing 521 yards and two TDs from 78 rushing attempts.

Riley Tindol (Billingsley 2014) is a 6-foot-5, 262-pound defensive end for Vanderbilt University, which remains 2-3 overall after concluding a bye week and will resume competition at the University of South Carolina (2-4) on Oct. 17 in Columbia, S.C.

Spencer Watley (Chilton County 2013) has made appearances as a 5-foot-10, 260-pound offensive lineman for Jacksonville State University.

Kortlin Zeigler (Jemison 2014) recorded an 11-yard kick return and competed as a tight end for the University of West Alabama against Florida Institute of Technology.

For the year, the sophomore’s totaled five appearances.

Men’s golf

Forrest Knight (Chilton County 2013) captured the No. 1 performance for the University of North Alabama men’s golf program at the Guy Harvey Invitational by tying for 16th with a thee-round score of 219 (71-68-80) from Oct. 12-13 in Palm Beach Gardens, Fla.

Among the field of 18 teams, the Lions ended ninth.

Volleyball

Alandra Griffith (Isabella 2014) contributed three kills and one block for outside hitter for Wallace Community College – Selma (1-18) in a 3-0 loss at Gadsden State Community College (14-10) on Oct. 6 in Gadsden.

On Oct. 7, the sophomore followed by producing one block, one kill and one dig in a 3-0 loss at Wallace State Community College (28-6) in Hanceville.

For the year, she’s compiled 82 kills, 36 blocks, eight digs, four assists and two aces.
