Elijah Daniel “Eli” Jackson, 2, of Clanton, passed away Oct. 5 at Children’s Hospital of Alabama in Birmingham.

He was born on Oct. 10, 2012, in Shelby County to Tyler Daniel Jackson and Bonzie Davis Jackson.

Eli is survived by his parents, Tyler Daniel Jackson and Bonzie Davis Jackson of Jemison; grandparents, Terry “Pops” and Cheryl “DooDah” Jackson of Jemison, Fred “PawPaw” Davis of Clanton, Tanya “MawMaw” and Scott “PopPop” Harris of Shelby; great-grandparents, Bob and Glenda “GG” Cook of Clanton, Harvel “PawPaw” and Beverly “Bebo” Blair of Calera, Bonzie “MawMaw” Davis of Pensacola, Fla., Jonny Satterfield of Warrior, Ray “Pa” and Janet “Ma” Harris of Coosa; aunt, Tiffany Studdard (Clint) of Pell City; uncles, Frank Davis of Clanton, Hank Davis of Shelby, Jake Davis of Shelby; aunt, Ashley Robison (James) of Coosa; uncle, Adam Harris of Shelby; uncle, Austin Harris of Shelby; special aunt and uncle, Laurie and Greg Marcus of Thorsby and a host of other numerous family members and friends.

Funeral services will be held Oct. 8 at 2 p.m. from the Collins Chapel Baptist Church in Thorsby with the Rev. William Kee officiating.

The family will receive friends from 12:30 p.m. until 2 p.m. at the church on Oct. 8.

Burial will follow in the Collins Chapel Baptist Church Cemetery.

Pallbearers will be Clint Studdard, Frank Davis, Hank Davis and Jake Davis.

Honorary pallbearers will be Adam Harris and Austin Harris.

In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to the Ronald McDonald House in Eli’s memory.

The family would also like to extend a heartfelt thanks to Dr. Jeffery Blount of the Neurosurgery Department at Children’s of Alabama, to Dr. Julie Dennis, pediatrician, and to the wonderful care group at Children’s of Alabama.
