Verbena High School’s first fundraiser of the year offers deals you can sink your teeth into.

The school is selling coupon books featuring coupons to restaurants including Big Daddy’s Burgers, Neighborhood Grill and Catering, Red Zone Sports Grill in Jemison, Three Amigos, Shoney’s and other local eateries plus establishments in the Birmingham and Prattville areas.

Worth the price: The coupon books cost $20 each and include more than $300 in savings.

Proceeds from the sale of the books benefit the school.

Vice-Principal Bradley Mann, who worked with Adrenaline Fundraising during his time at Millbrook Middle School, said the coupon books offer over $300 in savings.

Principal Carla White said she hopes each student in grades 3-12 will be able to sell five books.

“Due not only to the growth in student population but also the change from blocks to periods, Verbena is in need of more textbooks and other everyday items,” White said. “Having more classes every day has led to a situation in which our students are unable to share their books like they did when the previous block system was in place.”

The deadline for the fundraiser is Sept. 24.

Coupon books can be purchased from a student and their parents, or through the Verbena High School main office.
