Mary Susan Jones Ellison, 61, of Jemison, passed away Jan. 30.

She was born on Dec. 17, 1953, in Jefferson County, the daughter of the late Carl Jones and Joyce Martin Jones.

She was a teacher.

Surviving are her husband, Chuck Ellison of Jemison; son, Brad Ellison of Gurley; daughter, Jenny Green of Athens; mother, Joyce Jones of Columbiana; sisters Rinalda Roquin of Gramacy, La. and Patricia Aaron of Alabaster; grandchildren, Emily Green of Athens, Gracie Green of Athens, Michael Green of Athens, Mary Kate Green of Athens and Rorke Ellison of Gurley.

She was preceded in death by her father, Carl Jones.

Friends were received from 5-8 p.m. Feb. 1 at Jemison First Baptist Church.

Services were held Feb. 2 at 11 a.m. at Jemison First Baptist Church with the Rev. Mike Green and the Rev. Rex Kent officiating.

Interment will follow in Midway Memorial Gardens in Jemison.
