Dan Brantley, 70, of Montevallo, went home to be with the Lord on Dec. 24.

He was a loving husband, father, grandfather and friend to many.

He is preceded in death by his sister, Joyce Hayes.

He is survived by his wife of 47 years, Judy Brantley; children, Candace Roberson (Mike), Dane Brantley (Dana); five grandchildren, Brantley Warren (Jonathan), Brooke Roberson, Phillip Brantley, Sarah Brantley and Somer Roberson; one great-grandchild, Harper Warren; brother, Wayne Brantley; sisters, Ellen Scott and Shirley Blackerby.

Brantley was the founder and owner of Brantley Electric Company, a graduate of Jemison High School and Army veteran of the Vietnam War.

His visitation will be held Dec. 29 from 5-8 p.m. for friends.

Graveside services will be held Dec. 30 at 1:15 p.m. at the Alabama National Cemetery in Montevallo with the Rev. Evie Megginson and the Rev. Steve Johnson officiating the services. Donations may be made instead of flowers to Shady Grove Baptist Church, 113 Shady Grove Loop Randolph, AL 36792.
