Harlis Edwin Minor, 72, of Jemison, passed away Dec. 20 at Shelby Baptist Medical Center in Alabaster.

He was born on Jan. 16, 1941, in Chilton County, the son of the late Floyd Wallace Minor and the late Jewel Bice Minor.

He was an equipment operator.

Surviving are his son, Marty Edwin Minor (Tracy) of Clanton; daughter, Tina Annette Martin (Bobby) of Clanton; sisters, Ruth Perryman of Clanton and Carolyn Watley (Bobby) of Thorsby; grandchildren, Jason and Eric Martin and Shane Minor; great-grandchildren, Kelsey and Kaleb Martin and Keira Minor.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Wallace and Jewel Minor.

Friends were received from 5-8 p.m. Dec. 21 at Martin Funeral Home.

Services were held Dec. 22 at 2 p.m. at Martin Funeral Home Chapel with the Rev. Tony Smitherman and the Rev. Billy Wyatt officiating.

Interment followed in Chilton Memorial Gardens in Clanton.
