Herdis Ralph Minor, 71, of Clanton, passed away suddenly on Dec. 17 at Shelby Baptist Medical Center in Alabaster.

He was born in Sterrett on March 28, 1942, the son of the late Wallace Minor and the late Jewel Bice Minor.

He was a truck driver.

He is survived by his wife, Ruby Minor of Clanton; son, Keith Minor of Clanton; son, Jeff Minor of Clanton; six grandchildren; eight great-grandchildren; sister, Ruth Perryman of Thorsby; sister, Carolyn Watley of Thorsby; sister, Betty Blackerby of Rainbow City; brother, Harlis Minor of Thorsby; brother, Charles Mims of Maine and brother, Robert Mims of Gadsden.

Visitation will be held Dec. 18 from 5-8 p.m. at Ellison-Cleckler Funeral Home.

Funeral services will be held Dec. 19 at 2 p.m. from the Memorial Chapel of Ellison-Cleckler Funeral Home with the Rev. Melvin Massey, the Rev. Harlan Harris and the Rev. Dale Collins officiating.

Burial will follow in the Chilton Memorial Gardens in Clanton.
