A Verbena woman died after a wreck Tuesday on Highway 31.

Mary Ann “Sam” Whisner, 77, was killed when the 1993 Dodge Dakota she was driving collided with a 2008 Chevrolet Tahoe at about 5 p.m. two miles south of Clanton.

The driver of the Tahoe was transported to Jackson Hospital with non-life threatening injuries.
