Several Thanksgiving dinners open to the community will take place this week.

Grace Fellowship Church and Through the Grace of God Ministries will sponsor an early Thanksgiving feast on Tuesday, Nov. 26 at the Clanton Recreation Center on Lay Dam Road.

Grace Fellowship Pastor Jake McCall and Bro. Ralph Bingham of Through the Grace of God Ministries have invited the public to stop by and have a traditional Thanksgiving meal.

“We know that these times have brought hardship and struggle to many, so if you’ve had a rough week, or month, or couple of years, stop by when it’s most convenient for you and have a hot meal with us,” McCall said. “Regardless of what the weather might be that day, the rec facility will be dry and comfortable, and the food will be good.”

Meals will be served between 10:30 a.m. and 2 p.m.

For more information, call Grace Fellowship Church at (205) 755-4150 or Through the Grace of God Ministries at (205) 755-8199.

The sixth annual Community Thanksgiving Dinner will be held Thursday, Nov. 28 from 11 a.m. to 2 p.m. at E.M. Henry School in the West End community, 413 14th St. S. in Clanton.

The meal is free and open to the public.

Clanton First United Methodist Church will host a community Thanksgiving dinner Nov. 28.

Everyone in Chilton County is invited to attend and to serve.

The free luncheon meal will be served from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. in the Helen E. Parrish Activity Center on the church campus and will include turkey and ham, dressing, side dishes and desserts.

Volunteers are welcome to prepare side dishes, help set up or clean up or deliver meals to shut-ins.
