A portion of Interstate 65 was shut down at the 217-mile marker early Tuesday from a single-vehicle rollover.

Alabama Department of Public Safety Information/Education Unit spokeswoman Robyn Litchfield said Alabama State Troopers were notified of the rollover at 6:20 a.m.

Litchfield said the right southbound lane was closed at 6:25 a.m. and both lanes of I-65 southbound were closed shortly after 7 a.m.

“Both lanes of I-65 were opened by 7:46 a.m., but there was no mention on the initial report of injuries or fatalities,” Litchfield said.

Litchfield said the driver of the vehicle was treated for minor injuries and taken to Shelby Baptist Medical Center in Alabaster.

Additional information about the wreck wasn’t immediately available.
