The Chilton County Sheriff’s Department is seeking the public’s help in locating two males who burglarized a Verbena home Tuesday.

Sheriff Kevin Davis said his department received a call at 11:59 a.m. from a home at 417 County Road 97 of a burglary in progress.

“A lady left her home and returned to find two males inside her residence,” Davis said. “Once she was inside, the two males ran and left the scene in a white Chevrolet Caprice.”

As of 2 p.m. Tuesday, Davis said deputies were still searching the area near the scene of the burglary to locate the two men.

“If anyone in the area saw two black males in a white passenger car we would ask them to call the sheriff’s department,” Davis said. “Right now we are just trying to find them.”

Davis said some weapons and electronics were taken from the residence.

“The woman came in and caught them in her home so she was able to locate some of the items missing,” Davis said.

Anyone with information is asked to call the Chilton County Sheriff’s Department at 755-4698 or the secret witness hotline at 755-7898.
