The following is an activity report of the Maplesville Police Department from Sept. 29-Oct. 23:

Sept. 29
•Arrest made for DUI: U.S. Highway 82 at Mile Marker 106

Sept. 30
•A report was made on an incident at Maplesville School for corporal punishment. A student was paddled for acting up in class and the parents disagreed with the schools actions.

Oct. 3
•Copper wire was stolen from the Verizon tower off Alabama Highway 22 and the supermarket

Oct. 4
•Arrest for DUI: Shady Side Drive and Oil Tank Road
•Arrest for DUI: 200 Block of County Road 10

Oct. 5
•Domestic violence: 8900 Block of Alabama Highway 22

Oct. 10
•Forgery (a social security check was cashed): Seals Grocery

Oct. 11
•Arrest for DUI and disorderly conduct: U.S. Highway 82 at Mile Marker106

Oct. 16
•Theft of property: Shepherd Hill Road

Oct. 17
•Arrest for possession of marijuana: U.S. Highway 82 at Mile Marker 104

Oct. 19
•Single car hit dog, causing the vehicle to be disabled: U.S. Highway 82 (no injuries)
