The Jemison Panthers defeated the Holtville Bulldogs by a final score of 35-14.

Both teams were heavily penalized with the Panthers receiving eight penalties for 90 yards and the Bulldogs receiving seven penalties for 65 yards.

“We are going to have to work to clean up our penalties for the next game,” Jemison coach Jake Hogan said. “I thought we came out of the gate strong.”

Sophomore Kevin Nunn had three completions in nine attempts, 84 yards and scored one touchdown, senior Keyshawn Jemison had eight carries for 63 yards and scored two touchdowns, senior RaeQuane Jones had 17.5 tackles, sophomore P.J. Blue had six tackles and a 60 yard interception return for a touchdown and senior Randy Satterfield scored two touchdowns, one with a 41-yard pass reception for the Panthers.

Although the Bulldogs struggled to complete a pass in the first half of the game, they started out the second half strong with 190 yards rushing.

Antonio Kendrick scored for the Bulldogs in the third quarter and Taylor Whitt scored a touchdown for the Bulldogs in the fourth quarter.
