West End Baptist Church in Clanton hopes to see a large attendance at their church on Sunday.
The church is hosting the first all-day revival titled “Harvest Day” beginning Sunday morning with Sunday School at 9:15 a.m., morning worship at 10:30 a.m. and evening service at 6 p.m.
“We are really excited for the event and hope people will join us in worship,” West End Baptist Pastor Daniel Wilson said.
Wilson said the church has set a goal to have high attendance for the Sunday School portion of the day with hopes that more than 425 people will attend. Wilson said Sunday School at the church typically runs between 300-350 people.
Guest speakers at the event will be the Rev. Don Graham who will speak about discipleship and spiritual growth during the evening service at 6 p.m., and evangelist Junior Hill who will speak at the 10:30 a.m. service.
Wilson said Hill is from Hartselle and will give a “simple Gospel message” to those in attendance.
Wilson said the church decided to name the event “Harvest Day” due to those involved at the church sewing the seeds of the gospel throughout the year.
“We are praying that we will see a harvest this Sunday,” Wilson said.
