Rebels rally past Jeff Davis

Thorsby’s baseball team defeated Jeff Davis High School, 13-4, on April 3 at Patterson Field in Montgomery.

The Rebels were down 2-0 in the top of the third inning until Brantly Maddox started a rally that produced two runs to tie the game.

THS then added seven runs in the fourth to blow the game open.

Maddox finished 4-for-4 at the plate with two RBI and three runs scored.

Denham Childress went 4-for-5 with two doubles, three RBI and two runs scored; and Tyler Owens recorded a double and an RBI.

Braden McRae started the game on the mound, allowing two runs on three hits and two walks in three innings pitched while striking out two.

Matt Morgan came on in relief, holding Davis to two runs on two hits and three walks in four innings pitched while striking out nine.
