Thorsby baseball coach Ab Argent notched his 200th win with the Rebels’ second victory of the day Saturday, 24-2 over Billingsley.

Another milestone for Argent, his 100th win at THS, also came against BHS.

On Saturday, the Rebels were dominant on the mound and at the plate.

Blake Bradberry pitched all five innings and struck out five Bears.

Parker Bryan went 4-for-5 at the plate with three RBI and two runs scored; Matt Morgan had two triples, three runs scored and five RBI; Zach Brown was a home run shy of hitting for the cycle with a single, double, triple, three runs scored and three RBI; Cody Scott went 3-for-4 with three RBI and three runs scored; and Taylor Gunn went 2-for-2 with two doubles.

Earlier in the day, THS bested Holy Spirit, 13-3, in another five-inning contest.

The Rebels scored eight runs in the first inning as Brown had a triple, Morgan hit a home run, Scott and Hoffman each doubled and Bryan brought a run home on a sacrifice fly.

The lead was never threatened.

Brown allowed one earned run in three innings of work, and Bryan allowed one hit and no runs in the final two innings.
