Rebels remain unbeaten through seven games

Thorsby improved its record to 7-0 with wins last week over Montevallo, Dallas County and Calera.

Blake Bradberry’s no-hitter propelled the Rebels to an 11-0 win over Dallas County on March 1.

Bradberry struck out 10 batters and walked two.

He received support from Brantly Maddox (two-run single), Zach Morris (two-run double) and Cody Scott (two-run double).

THS topped Calera twice, 9-3 and 16-6, on March 2 at Rickwood Field in Birmingham.

Maddox allowed three runs on three hits and two walks in six innings while striking out 11 batters to earn the win on the mound.

Maddox went 2-for-3 at the plate with three RBI.

In the second game, Bo Hoffman and Matt Morgan each went 3-for-4 at the plate with two runs scored. Morgan also drove in four runs.

Chris Brown went 2-for-2 with three runs scored and three RBI, and Parker Bryan went 2-for-3 with three runs scored and one RBI.

The Rebels blanked Montevallo, 11-0, on Feb. 28.

Braden McRae hit a two-run home run in the second inning, and Thorsby never looked back.

Brantly Maddox chipped in at the plate, going 3-for-3 with two doubles, three runs scored and four RBI.

Denham Childress had a double and two runs scored, and Brown had two RBI, a stolen base and a run scored.

Hoffman started on the mound, giving up three walks and one hit in six innings while striking out 11.

Morgan, who also doubled at the plate, pitched the seventh inning, preserving the shutout while allowing one hit.
