Janet Leibold Ellison

Janet Leibold Ellison passed away Thursday, Nov. 22, 2012, at her home in Panama City Beach, Fla.

She was 76.

Mrs. Ellison was born in Lakewood, Ohio, on Nov. 18, 1935.

She was the daughter of E.L. “Al” and Doris “Pat” Leibold.

Her family moved to Alabama in 1953, and she was a 1954 graduate of Chilton County High School.

Mrs. Ellison married her high school sweetheart, Joe Frank Ellison, in 1955, and they were together for more than 57 years.

She was an office manager for Gulf Consulting, a business she and Joe owned for nearly 30 years.

Mrs. Ellison is survived by her husband, Joe; her son Ken and his wife Robin of Columbus, Ga.; her son Mike and his wife Raynette of Jemison; four grandchildren; two step-grandchildren; and three great-grandchildren.

Services will be held Saturday, Dec. 1, at Clanton First United Methodist Church with the Rev. Larry Anderson officiating.

The family will receive friends in the sanctuary from 12–1 p.m. with the memorial celebration starting at 1.

“But they that wait upon the Lord shall renew their strength; they shall mount up with wings as eagles; they shall run and not be weary; and they shall walk, and not faint” (Isaiah 40:31).
