A Thorsby woman died Wednesday as a result of injuries she received Aug. 23 in a two-vehicle crash on Highway 31, one mile north of Clanton.

Brenda Carole Bentley, 64, was driving a 1996 Lexus LS400 when she collided with a 2002 Honda Civic driven by Gilbert Perez Contreras, 23, of Clanton, according to a release from Alabama State Troopers. Bentley was transported from the scene to UAB Hospital, where she later died. Contreras and his two passengers, Carlos Gonzalez, 18, of Thorsby, and Joseph Contreras, 16, of Clanton, were injured and taken to Chilton County Medical Center for treatment.
