Rosa Mae Cleckler

Rosa Mae Cleckler, age 86 of Jemison, passed away on July 13, 2012, at St. Vincent’s Hospital in Birmingham.

She was born in Chilton County on April 7, 1926, the daughter of the late Robert Connell and the late Canzada Cleckley Connell.

She was a hostess at the Jemison McDonalds. She was also a devoted homemaker.

She is survived by: daughter, Betty Jean (Ken) Robinson of Birmingham; son, Eddie (Marilyn) Cleckler of Thorsby; 10 grandchildren; and 19 great-grandchildren.

She is preceded in death by her parents, along with: husband, Eugene Cleckler; daughter, Geraldine Smith; daughter, Linda Mae Collum; brother, Odis Connell; brother, Earl Connell; and brother, Thomas Connell.

Visitation will be held on Saturday, July 14 from 6-8 p.m. at Ellison-Cleckler Funeral Home.

Funeral services will be held on Sunday, July 15 at 4 p.m. from Cedar Grove Methodist Protestant Church with the Rev. Jeff Carroll officiating.

Burial will follow at the Cedar Grove Cemetery in Thorsby.
