Georgia Lee Reeder Daniel, age 86, was surrendered into God’s hands on Friday, May 4, 2012. She was a loving wife, mother, grandmother, and great-grandmother.

She was born May 15, 1925, in Pontotoc County, Mississippi. She moved to Clanton in 1944 and worked as a bookkeeper and was also city clerk of the city of Clanton for 18 years. She was an active member of Liberty Hill Baptist Church since 1946.

Georgia is survived by her loving husband of 66 years, William Curtis Daniel; two daughters, Glenda Daniel Anderson (Ben) and Donna Daniel Hughes (Austin); four grandchildren, Kimberly Boyle (Chris), Kevin Anderson (Lindsay), Daniel Hughes and Laura Hayden (Jordy); and one great-granddaughter, Avery Boyle. She is also survived by two sisters, Mary Ellen Brazil and Shirley Mathews, and a host of relatives and friends.

Visitation will be held from 1:30 to 3:30 p.m. on Saturday, May 5, at Liberty Hill Baptist Church with the funeral service beginning at 3:30 p.m. and the interment following in the church cemetery.
