Danny Leon Crumpton, age 57, of Clanton went home to be with the Lord on Tuesday, April 24, 2012.

He was born on Dec. 14, 1954, in Bessemer.

Survivors are his wife, Donna G. Crumpton; son, Christopher Scott Crumpton; brother, Gerald W. (Judy) of Dallas; sister, Sandi (Jerome) Herron of Chelsea; and nieces, nephews, family and friends. He is preceded in death by his parents, James Leon and Louise Headrick Crumpton, and brother, James William Crumpton.

Memorial services will be Saturday, May 5, at Hopewell Road Church of God in Bessemer at 5:30 p.m. Visitation with the family will follow the service.

Danny’s life passion was to help underprivileged people. Donations may be made to the Jimmie Hale Missions in Birmingham.
