Jette Aileen Mathews, age 77 of Marbury, passed away on March 16, 2012, at her residence. She was born in Montgomery on June 13, 1934, the daughter of the late George William Neyman and the late Jette Aileen Henderson Neyman.

She worked with children while working as a counselor.

She is survived by: husband, Michael Byron Mathews of Clanton; step-daughter, Anita Vigil of Las Vegas; brother-in-law, Elkin Mathews of Gadsden; brother-in-law, Weldon Mathews of Newark, Ohio; and a cousin, Alitha Henderson.

A private informal service was held.

Burial was in the Mt. Creek Baptist Church Cemetery in Marbury.
