Rebecca “B.J.” Jean Morris, 50, of Bessemer died Sunday, Feb. 26, 2012.

She was born on Thursday, June 15, 1961, in Jefferson County, daughter of the late Earl Ferguson and the late Loumania Thompson Ferguson.

She was a nurse.

Surviving are her husband, Philip Morris of Bessemer; two daughters, Misty (Brannon) Burnett of Clanton and Brooke Miller of Clanton; granddaughters, Madison and Maecie Driskell of Clanton; five step-daughters, Rhonda and Jacqi Crumpton of Bessemer, Tonya McCrory, Kristy Morris and Sara Gail Morris; two step-sons, Shawn Crumpton of Bessemer and David Morris; two sisters, Joan White and Gail Duncan; and three brothers, Doug Woods, Gordan Woods and Minor Ferguson.

She was preceded in death by her sister, Carolyn Bratton.

Friends will be received from 5:30-8 p.m., Wednesday, Feb. 29 at McCalla Memorial Funeral Home.

Graveside services will be held at 2 p.m. Thursday, March 1 at Pondville Methodist Cemetery, Pondville, with the Rev. Jeff Crockett officiating.
