Gerald Howard Weed, 88, of Prattville died Sunday, Feb. 19, 2012.

He was born on Sunday, Aug. 19, 1923, in Alabama, son of the late William Howard Weed and the late Minnie Ola Johnson Weed.

Surviving are his wife, Juanita G. Weed of Prattville; daughter, Rita Weed Traywick of Prattville; son, Chris (Jerrianne) Weed of Lebanon, Ohio; four grandchildren, Spencer (Ellen) Traywick, Jennifer (Lewis) Hilyer, Christopher Weed and Krysta Weed; and great-grandchildren, Spence and Will Traywick, and Samantha and Jacob Hilyer.
