Jemison Police Department investigators arrested a Jemison man Friday, Feb. 10 at about 5 p.m. for selling drugs.

Wesley Ryan “Fet” Morrow, 32, was charged with three counts of unlawful distribution of a controlled substance.

“I have received information and many complaints for quite awhile concerning Morrow selling cocaine to any- and everybody on our streets,” Chief Shane Fulmer said. “Morrow is not just your everyday drug dealer who does enough to support a habit of his own and enough to get by. Morrow has been selling cocaine for a long time here in Chilton County, and while making lots of money, he has destroyed many lives of all ages including very young kids.”

Morrow was arrested in Jemison while traveling in his vehicle after JPD conducted a weeklong undercover drug operation, during which investigators obtained arrest warrants for Morrow. He was out on bond for other distribution cases he was arrested for in the past few months, Fulmer said.

“Sometimes it takes a while, and now hopefully, we’ve got enough to keep him in jail and off our streets for a very long time,” Fulmer said. “In addition to these new charges, we are working with the DA’s office to get the bond revoked on the charges he is out on bond for.”

During Morrow’s arrest, investigators seized $1,400 in cash and a 1970 Oldsmobile.

Morrow is currently being held in the Chilton County Jail on no bond, which was imposed by Chilton County Circuit Judge Sibley Reynolds.

Fulmer said police are hoping to make more arrests before they conclude the undercover operation.

“Our investigators and patrol officers who assisted have done an excellent job, and I commend them for their performance,” Fulmer said.

Jemison Deputy Chief Marc McMinn said the Clanton Police Department helped in the investigation.

“We would like to thank Clanton investigators who assisted in the case,” McMinn said.
