Senior citizens are invited to treat themselves to better health this February.

Middle Alabama Area Agency on Aging (M4A) is hosting a health and wellness event called “Be Your Own Valentine” for Chilton County senior citizens on Friday, Feb. 17 from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. at the Alabama Power Conference Center building (Room A).

The event will feature health and wellness presentations and free health screenings sponsored by New Beacon Hospice, Chilton Medical Center, Alabama Institute for the Deaf and Blind (AIDB) and the University of Montevallo (UM).

M4A will also provide individual counseling on Medicare, fraud, scams and prescription assistance.

All who attend are required to bring proof of income, health insurance cards, Medicare cards and a valid driver’s license.

Refreshments will be provided and door prizes will be given.
