George Burnice Minor

George Burnice Minor, age 71 of Clanton, passed away on Feb. 8, 2012, at his residence. He was born in Chilton County on Feb. 29, 1940, the son of the late George Frenza Minor and the late Beanie Mims.

He worked as a mil-wright mechanic for Kimberly Clark in Childersburg.

He is survived by: wife of 47 years, Elizabeth Minor of Clanton; son, Greg (Vickie) Minor of Clanton; son, Terry Minor of Clanton; granddaughter, Shaelyne Minor of Jemison; granddaughter, Shelby Minor of Clanton; great-grandson, Lucas Crews of Jemison; sister, Frances Cooper of Clanton; sister, Jettielene Thomas of Clanton; and a host of nieces, nephews and friends.

Visitation will be held from 5-8 p.m. on Friday, Feb. 10 at Ellison-Mims Funeral Home.

Funeral services will be held at 11 a.m. on Saturday, Feb. 11 from the Memorial Chapel of Ellison-Mims Funeral Home with the Rev. Jason Rothe and the Rev. Robert Gibson officiating.

Burial will follow in Chilton Memorial Gardens in Clanton.
