Last hurrah: Maplesville’s Cameron Morrow (12) goes up for a shot Thursday during a win over Isabella. Morrow, a senior, was playing in his last home game.
Maplesville’s boys and girls basketball teams won Thursday in the last games the seniors will play at home.
The Red Devils boys defeated Isabella, 64-46, and the girls won, 45-35.
The score of the girls game was tied, 6-6, after the first period, and Isabella took the lead on the first possession of the second period on an offensive rebound and putback by Savannah Kissel, but host Maplesville then went on a 12-2 run, highlighted by a three-pointer by Keshia Bailey with 3:41 remaining until halftime.
The score was 23-16 at the break and 34-26 after three periods of play, but the result wasn’t put out of doubt until Kiana Andrews made a shot despite being fouled and falling away from the basket.
