No injuries have been reported from severe weather early Monday morning, but several areas in the county have suffered damage, according to a Chilton County 911 official.

Sandy Strength with 911 said rescue crews are still going from home to home, looking for people affected by the storms.

The most significant damage seems to be in Maplesville, northwest of Clanton near Old Henry Road and in the Enterprise community near the intersection of county roads 24 and 49.

Smitherman’s mobile home park near the intersection of Highway 22 and County Road 37 suffered extensive damage, Strength said.

“We have a lot of trees, (power) lines down,” Strength said. “We have not received any reports of injuries or fatalities.”

The public is asked not to travel to damage areas so as not to impede the work of rescue crews.
