Pile on: Blue team quarterback Josh Wright (7), a 2004 Chilton County High School graduate, is brought down during the alumni football game Saturday at Tiger Stadium.

The second Chilton County High School football alumni game was played Saturday, with 2005 graduate Lee Trucks returning an interception for a touchdown in the fourth quarter to seal a 20-6 win for the white team.

White team quarterback Bert Bean, a 1997 graduate, ran an option keeper in for a touchdown and the first score in the first quarter of the game featuring former CCHS players.

Blue team quarterback Josh Wright passed to Tyworn Jackson for a touchdown to make it 6-6 at halftime.

C.J. Robinson ran for a white team score in the third quarter, and also ran in the two-point conversion to make it 14-6.

Event organizer Russ Davis said the alumni game raised about $1,000 for the project to build a new athletic weight room at the high school.

“We’re planning on having two of them next year, one in late May and one in December,” said Davis, a 1998 graduate. “It’s just all for the school, and it gives the guys a chance to get out there and play again.”
