Keri Ann Quinn, 14, of Billingsley died Monday night from complications related to a ruptured appendix.

Quinn was in the seventh grade at Billingsley School.

Counselors have spoken with members of Quinn’s family and are available to talk with students and faculty in lieu of the situation.

The funeral will be on Saturday, Dec. 3 at Ridout’s-Brown-Service Prattville Chapel in Prattville, with visitation at 3 p.m. and a memorial service at 4 p.m.

Billingsley Principal Van Smith described Quinn as a “very nice young lady.”

“They were new to our community,” Smith said of Quinn and her family. “This was their first year here.”
