Medie D. Bryant, 87, of Clanton died Monday, Nov. 28, 2011, at Hatley Health Care in Clanton.

She was born Tuesday, Nov. 11, 1924, in Chilton County, daughter of the late Stanley DeVaughn and the late Medie Lewis DeVaughn.

She was a supervisor.

Surviving are her daughter, Susan (Larry) McCary of Clanton; sister-in-law, Barbara Bryant of Wetumpka; grandson, Mark (Bridgette) McCary of Clanton; two granddaughters, Amanda (Trevor) Allen of Clanton and Serena (Jim) Taylor of Montgomery; and six great-grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Grady E. Bryant; and son, Larry Bryant.

Friends will be received from 12:30-1:30 p.m., Tuesday, Nov. 29 at Martin Funeral Home Chapel.

Graveside services will be held Tuesday, Nov. 29 at 2 p.m. at Chestnut Creek Baptist Cemetery.
