Raymond Franklin Cooedy

Raymond Franklin Cooedy was born Jan. 2, 1930, in Clanton to the late Lester Franklin Cooedy and Ollie Mae Jackson Cooedy.
He was known to the entire community as a loving husband, father, grandfather, brother and friend. He was a farmer and a hard worker. He worked his whole life to provide for his family, no matter the weather. He worked for everything he had. He loved farming and growing things and had a general love for people.
He is survived by his daughter, Mary Frances Mims (Eddie Mims); his son, Gerald F. Cooedy; four granddaughters, Kim Moore (Mitch Moore), Pam Emerick (Alex Emerick), Angie Handley (Chris Handley) and Haley Cooedy; four great grandchildren, Jacob Emerick, Kacy Handley, Destiny Handley and Shelby Handley; three brothers, James A. Cooedy (Mary Nell), Willie Cooedy (Loretta) and Marvin Cooedy (Debbie); one sister, Flora Mae Price (Ferrell); sister-in-law, Willie Nell Cooedy; brother-in-law, Jerry Fulford; and a very special friend Earlene Littleton.
He was preceded in death by his parents; wife, Edna Taylor Cooedy; two sisters, Louise Gentry and Lorene Fulford; and one brother, Chester Cooedy.
He passed from this life at his home Nov. 11. Our hearts are heavy with his loss; he will be greatly missed by all his family, friends and anyone who knew him.
Services will be held Tuesday, Nov. 15 at Highland Baptist Church at 11 a.m. with the Rev. Robert Griffin officiating.
Interment will follow in Highland Baptist Cemetery.
