Jessie Lee Porter, 57, of Jemison died Tuesday, Oct. 11, 2011, at his residence in Jemison.

He was born Wednesday, Dec. 9, 1953, in Chilton County, son of the late James Porter and the late Mildred Parker Porter.

He worked in commercial construction.

Surviving are two sons, Jay (Maria) Porter of Clanton and Justin Porter of Jemison; sister; Faye (John) King; special friend, Jo Anne Price of Jemison; seven grandchildren; and five nieces.

He was preceded in death by his parents, James and Mildred Porter; brother, Jimmy Wayne Porter; brother, James “Worm” Porter; sister, Joyce Bolton and nephew, Jeff “Bobo” Bolton.

Friends will be received from 5-8 p.m., Thursday, Oct. 13 at Martin Funeral Home Chapel.

Services will be held Friday, Oct. 14 at 1 p.m. at Martin Funeral Home Chapel with the Rev. Billy Wyatt officiating.

Interment will follow in Center Hill Baptist Cemetery in Jemison.
